Cianna:
“It’s like 911 important, mom.”
“I want to go to the mountains and go skii-ting.”
“Can we make rice Christmas Trees?” (Rice Krispie Treats)
Everytime we drive by her future school – “That’s my kindergarten!!!”
“I’m going to give toys to the kids who don’t have lots of money.”
“Peyton, come here so I can brush your hair. I love brushing her hair". (Peyton giggles and shakes her head). PEYTON! Stop! You’re making it all crazy again.”
I reminded Cianna that last Thursday was her last day of gymnastics for the year and her answer was, “and then I can do soccer?” She loves soccer and has been waiting since October.
Cianna comes downstairs and asks me to help her with the laundry because she can’t reach the panties at the bottom. She was trying to switch a laundry load all by herself without even being told.
Grandma recently visited for a week and stayed in Cianna’s room. I think Cianna started to wonder if she was going to get her bed back so after 3 nights she asked me, “When is grandma going home?” I asked her if she wanted grandma to go home. She said “No, she can stay here and this can be her new home.” I chuckled and told her grandma was only staying a few more days and asked if she missed her bed and if she wanted to have a sleepover with grandma. She asked “Did grandma say I could sleep in here with her?” So we made her a little bed on the floor and she had a sleepover for a few nights with grandma.
Cianna was sitting at the dinner table tonight holding her Christmas card from Autumn (her godmother) with a picture of baby Sam (Autumn's baby). She tells Peyton "Peyton, this is Sam. I love him."
Peyton:
Puts her tights on her head and says in her deepest voice: “I’m Santa and I’m gonna get you presents. Ho ho ho!”
As we were working on Christmas cards: “I’m making this Christmas card for GOD.”
Peyton has had some issues with accidents here and there, only at home, with peeing her panties. Oops. She’s making great progress, but still has the occasional accident. The other day she says “Uh-oh, I have to go potty” and then waddles slowly to the bathroom. She actually had not had an accident and made it to the potty successfully.
Peyton is not fond of new people or new activities, so when we took her to see Santa, she wouldn’t go near him or talk to him. After she saw Cianna ask for a new horse toy, she whispered from far away: “Santa, can I please have a new dolly?”
Peyton likes to tell it like it is and recently asked me why my butt was so big and why daddy had a big belly. Thanks Peyton.
This morning, Peyton was very tired and crabby. She asked me to hold her like a baby, so I did and walked her to the bathroom to go potty. I gave her a kiss and she said “I told you not to kiss me.” Then she told me she was tired and I said that she could sleep in the car. Her response, “I want to sleep in my bed.” Can’t say I blame her.
